Best way to kill off blue cloves!!!!

What species repel them? Euphylias? Galaxia?

I lost lots of acan, chalice and zoa frags due to their super fast reproductive rate. There are a few species that fall under this name of blue clove. I have 2 that I traced back to a couple colonies of Rhodactis - different patterns and size. Both species have outcompeted their neighbors. My tank is bb so when they hit the ground, their web can send runners extremely fast. In the areas with a touch of sand, they overrun the whole clump.

I have found that I can set up a fishnet down current and catch most of the web when I use a scraper to get it off the bottom. Fresh water hurts them so they peel off a frag after a minute or two, but they do seem to come right back in a few weeks.

I keep tricolor cloves, green Nephthea and green Sinularia, so I don't want to use the Fluke tabs if I don't have to.

I used the thick kalk solution and it seemed to work. I took the frags out my system and placed them in a bowl. I took my turkey baster and applied the kalk on the frags. Once the frags were covered in the kalk solution, I let them sit for 5 mins. I then rinsed the frags in some RIDO water to clean the excess kalk off of them. I used a soft toothbrush and gently brushed the cloves off the frags. They came off pretty easily. My Captain Americas and my Fire crackers aren't that happy right not but they are alive. I'll let you know in a week or two how they end up. Thanks for all the advice. I really appreciate it.

My zoa frags are being overrun with these things.. Don't want to toss the coral or give it to someone else for them to deal with, but don't want to have these things destroy my tank. Following along.

I have been wondering about this for a few months as well meanwhile they are spreading. Time to build my laser and take them out.
