I have a 75 gal tank and I am looking for a yellow fish (not a tang I already have a kole tang), what is the coolest fish one could buy that is reef safe?

how could you say no to a cutie like this?

lemon peel angel.

Be lucky to get a reef-safe one... !

Banana Wrasse... or maybe a Foxface ?

Now I love the clown gobies as much as the next guy (see below that my tank is goby-dominated) but I wouldn't exactly call a yellow clown goby "reef safe". It's more like softies/LPS safe.

I have one in my reef and it has pretty much destroyed a yellow mille I have. I still love the little fish, and even just put him in my 240g when I upgraded, but reef safe???

I like the midas blenny idea though. They swim around quite a bit and also have a ton of personality.

More ideas...yellow watchman goby{I have a pair, they are great} yellow assessor~tank bred ORA, some female anthias are yellow. I agree that yellow clown gobies are not sps safe. I had to take mine out.:( Banana wrasses are not reef safe either...neither are lemon peels. And candy striped hogs are red/white!
With the kole I would consider the one spot foxface. They stay smaller than other foxfaces, and when put with Kole tangs they buddy up and swim together!

I hve a pair of yellow clown gobies I've had for a year that have not bothered my sps. They have chosen a LJAX purple tipped monster for their main home, but perch on all the corals. They haven't killed anything and are fun to watch.

Be sure and do your research before you buy. I heard the long nose butterfly will eat some coral. I had an all yellow foxface that was a great community fish and very useful 'cause he's a good grazer very hardy. I had to sell him because my bannerfish was picking on him. Some bannerfish are reef safe, mine is, but some aren't. Mine is h. moneceros and never bothered my corals.
