better HO skimmer: Typhoon or Remora?

I've been very happy with my AquaC Remora in a 75G FOWLR setup. I've considered adding the surface skimming addition to it, but I've read very mixed revues on it so I've stayed away so far. I'm considering adding a HOB refugium to assist with water quality.

Do you have the regular remora or the pro?

Do you have the regular remora or the pro?

It is the regular one as I originally bought it for a 55G tank. As I strongly consider going from FOWLR to reef, I'll regret that choice, perhaps.

Dont buy the preskimmer box.

its bulky, it has top off issue and doesnt really work on removing bubbles.
the idea of the box skimming the surface works, but aquac needed a better design for the box

Remora works as advertised. I keep sps with my regular remora. Definitely step up to a Rio 1100 or better though.
40 breeder w/25g sump and 5 fish.

I have nothing but good things to say about mine as well. Keeps the tank clean with a relatively high bio-load.
