I bid on some what I thought were some sweet looking Paly's on ebay seller coralmarinelife that I thought would be great for my tank and a great trade I haven't seen anything like them. well long story short won the bid they shipped but 1st they shipped to the wrong house fedex sent them to 27703 instead of 27730 and to make it worse it was a old lady that got the package thinking it was her birthday and opened it saw small flowers in a bag of water and put them in a bowl with tap water. salinity 0.03 when I tested it and deliverd them sometime latter I contaced the seller saying I would like to file with fedex for damaged shipment he says they probably wont do anything and had refused to allow me to file so far since he is the shipper I need the ok other wise the money would go to him any way he said see if the recover well it's been 4 weels I am getting ready to leave feedback I am going to contact him one more time to show him what they look like if he does nothing should I leave negitive or chalk the 66 bucks up to experance? we have exchanged a couple of emails this is what has been said. have also filed with ebay doubt they will do anything but worth a try. this guy is a trying to pull a fast one and I don't like it aboid corallife marine
Dave,
To be honest, I really do not know what you are saying. We have a policy and that policy is we are not liable of FedEx. These are the same polyps on the auction! The size is the same! They are from the colony in the picture. We use a high Macro Lens
to get photos that are really close, they may look bigger but they are not.
No Dave we are not happy that this has happened to you. But you seem
to think that we need to pay be responsible for FedEx. That is never going
to happen. You take a risk when buying live animals through the mail. We
take a risk as well. This is why we replace all DOA items, but ONLY in future
packages. I really do not know what to say to make this policy clearer for
you to understand. We do not pay for shipping ever. FedEx has stated already
that this was delivered correctly, remember we talked to them a while back.
They are not going to credit anything, also they do not credit live animals. The
only thing they might help with is the shipping and they have denied that already.
I really have not more information to give you. You can believe what ever you like when
it comes to lighting. We have spent years testing light practices, all actinic and no actinic etc. I think we know what we are talking about, I personally have studied all over including working at some of the top aquariums in the world that keep marine coral species. Dave, we are at a loss for words. We do care about you a lot more than you think. Some times in business we have to take stand. If we gave into everyone who had a problem with FedEx or errors on there part like leaving there items on the door step, we would never be able to be in business. We wish we could just pay for shipping and grow more pieces etc, that would just go against what we do here. That being trying to have the lowest prices on the Internet. Sorry for what has happened and sorry you do not agree with the situation. This is were we are at with it though. One last quote, Dave sometime try to take two pieces of the same coral, put one under 10k and the other under 20k or Actinics. Leave them there for a month or so, then tell us what you see. I have seen this study first hand.
Take care,
John

telling me that this is either permant or I did not
get the correct coral because if you look at these
palys they are nothing like the auction either in

ask for a reship on these or a refund from fedex while
I understand your poliy I also figure that this fairs
resonable understanding of my frustration and while
you think me spending another 30-40 bucks I do not.
