sweet tank Brok

cheers Ryan, bit less flubber than Doms aswell ;)

Hi
Great tank and loving your corals and the colouration is fantastic ,is the majestic reef safe .

Bill

Thanks Bill, the majestic is reef safe in a sense that he dosent do enough damage to stunt growth or anything. He does however from time to time nip at the polyps and eats the slime thats expelled. Beitiful fish and happy to sacrifice a bit of daylight polyp extension for him/her

Thanks so much for posting this. You're having excellent results with the matrix/siporax combo. Have you removed all the zeolite as well as the refugium? Are you adding any organic carbon source for the bacteria or are you dosing NP Pro from AF?

The corals look great and looks like your cooking some cool stuff in the frag tank too.

Your welcome :)
Yep removed all zeolites and pulled the refugium as it was growing but i didnt feel it contributed to the system enough to justify its hassle. I add zeostart3 as my carbon source. Only a tiny amount, 1ml daily in a 1000l system (have np pro on hand however zeostart3 ended up being cheaper in the long run. Yeh things dont look as good in the frag tank but they grow! Think it way have something to do with the turnover of water in the frag tank but shall ride it out for now

I really love the kessil mounted to T5 how did you mount? Is the shimmer amazing when T5 goes out? Really nice tank

The kessils are mounted to the tank using the kessil goodenecks, the two far wide kessils also have a 90 degree adapter to be angled in a bit more. Yeh i love the shimmer the kessils give. Also love turning the blue all the way up at night to see everything glow!!! dont tell anyone tho :p

What happened to the MP40's. I saw you had a problem with one wet-side. Did it totally go south and you didn't want to replace?

The mp40s wetsides completely karked it, as they are extremely old i was looking to buy two replacement wetsides but they are still quite pricey! I will look to replace them over this chrissy break :)

a bit of a different perspective of the tank, some sorta close ups.... bit hungover today so the shot are a bit out of focus due to me shaking!

Really struglle to capture this ones colours

a simple tenius but one of my favourites!

Stunning tank you have there  No problems with the Majestic and Ningaloos? Intersting clam, saw them for the first time in the flesh last week. Your SSC colony is the stand out for me, did you grow it that way?

Thanks mate. Nah never had a drama with him, hes peacefully and dosent do any damage to anything other than the occasional polyp nip. I was a bit iffish when i introduced him so i moved the clams into the frag tank until he was settled them moved them back, dont think he noticed them!

Ill grab a pic for you of the ningaloo's, we get them collected pretty regularly over here in Western Australia so they are relativly cheap compared to the maximas and croceas.

That Shortcake was a sustainable reefs frag and was grown from a stump into what it is today :)

the bit hungover comment had me laughing because im in the exact same situation.

very nice corals man, looks like living in Australia has it perks ;)

Good on ya! I think I'll have invest in a ningaloo or two. I have a pair of tiny scribble angels from your neck of the woods, wonder how that would work out with a loo or two

Wow, Brock, stunning tank!!
