Hi Guys,

My Bi Color angel is 1 and a half week new to my aquarium and it has orange spots below his mouth and near his eyes.

He was running fine and picking the live rocks but not eating anything i put it(flake food, Nori sheet etc).

Today morning he seems to be sick he went to the far end right corner and doesnt move much.

I have a QT with filter(Without carbon cartridge), heater, and bare bottom.

Can i use API EM Erythromycin ? for this orange spot ? or do i need something else?

Please suggest i am really sad that this fish is going sick .. :sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

Please please please help ....I want to save his life...

He is hiding behind the rocks and i dont want to over stress him by pushing him to the front or side of the tank.

However i will try to take a picture of this guy.. But the orange spot is very visible.
He is not eating at all from the time i brought him and introduced him to my tank.

My Bi Color Angel has passed away this morning .. i am so upset.. I tried giving all the food he likes but he didnt take even a single piece of food that i fed;

other three guys are doing good. My tank is 30G and soon will be upgraded .. Until my upgrade i thought this guy would be my center piece and i guess he didnt like the size of my tank.. I asked the store i bought they are reputed shop here in Canada and i guess its same in US as well. They said he must be stressed and might not like to stay in small tank.

When i bought the fish i did mention them my tank size and they said he will be fine .. but now its exact opposite .

I am really depressed when something happens to my fishes..

I only have 2 clown fish and 1 fire goby. I am not planning to put new fishes for next 6 weeks but i need suggestions to buy fishes for my tank(30g FOWLR).

Suggest me some fishes that suits my tank and i also plan to put my new fishes in quarantine with melafix for about 1 month and run it without medication for 2 weeks before introducing to my main aquarium.

Thoughs..

:(:(:(:(: :(:(:(

Always sad to lose a fish Now you see that the lfs isn't your best friend after all, they are mostly in it for profit

Try a Royal Gramma.

Thanks Dkuhlmann yes i am doing my job now to get the suggestions from u guys yes i was thinking of Royal Gramma and longnose hawkfish

I would highly recommend quarantine procedure of Tank transfer followed by prazipro then observe before putting in the tank. That will take care of ich and flukes the 2 most common diseases. The observation will allow time to verify brook or velvet.

What he said.

the reason for his death is he didnt eat anything. I took the dead one to the shop and also did some research. The orange spot near his left eye and a spot on his mouth seems to be normal.

He did not eat anything in the two weeks nor he had a conflict/ fight with other fishes. He was just eating algae in my LiveRocks however my tank doesnt have lot of Algae that he might be needing.
