Bicolor Blenny clam safe?

I've always been intrigued by the little Bicolor Blennys, but I've heard mixed results about their compatibilty with clams and sps corals. I was just looking for some opinions. If not, is any blenny safe? I've also considered a Flameback or Coral Beauty Angel, any opinions on these? Thanks

Pretty much all of the Blennies are reef safe. The only exceptions to this are from the genera Aspidontus and Plagiotremus. They have enlarges canine teeth in their lower jaw for ripping scales and bits of flesh from other fish(ie.Golden Mimic Blenny)!

bi-colored blennys are known clam nippers, and most of the angel family shouldn't be trusted with clams

I have a bicolor blenny that nipped on both my clams. Separated the clams from the rest of the tank for a month then I placed the clam on top of the rockwork and so far, crossing my fingers, the blenny have left my clams alone. Hoping he won't find the clams again but I've been trying to catch that guy for a while... wouldn't recommend the bicolor but he is fun to watch. :rolleye1: My flame angel on the other hand, hasn't touched my clam. They're also a hit or miss with clams.
