Bicolor Pseudochromis

I bought a Bicolor Pseudochromis today and have a couple of questions. First, I have a Coral Banded Shrimp and am wondering if they will get along well or if I should just return the Bicolor Pseudochromis all together.

Second, I am wondering if anyone has experience with feeding this fish pellet food? I may try and ween it onto the pellets but I am not sure.

Comments and suggestions?

Well I had one with a coral banded shrimp without issues. The pseudo's are very aggressive towards similiarly shaped fish and smaller fish. They are also carnivors they will eat small crustaceans. I bought a small pistol shrimp less than a 1/2 inch and mine ate it. Also was watching a hermit switch shells one day when my pseudo came swooping in and grabbed him. Mine fought with a damsel, six line and cleaner wrasse. When I switched to a larger tank he didn't get an invite. They are very colorful fish a little downside. Just depends on whom they will be sharing the tank with.

Some will take them, some won't, just depends on the individual fish. The only way to find out is to give it a try... Also, the Bicolors can be terrors and if you want to add other small fish you may want to consider returning it for that reason alone.

My pseudochromis will eat anything I put in the tank. He is such a terror that he now lives with my 4' undulated moray. Eat That!
