Big tang in 20g qt? Ok for the short term?

I purchased a big yellow tang off a local reefer shutting down his system.
Normally I qt everything for the month +

My qt is a 20g tall, painted sides and back, big pvc tubes.

Just wondering if the tang will be ok in there for a month? He looks like a monster in the smaller tank. He came from a system that appeared to be full of fat healthy fish, owned over 2 years. Maybe a shortened QT period?

Thanks in advance.

If you had another tank laying around, you could run him thru TT in 13 days. I would also probably do 2 rounds of Prazi.

4 years ago I qt'd my powder brown which was 5 inches, in a ten gallon for 3 straight months. Didn't hurt him any.

If it is cycled you should be fine. I have a blue tang in a 20g qt with 2 other fish. This tang eats like he's been starved for a month no matter how much food I put in. I'm ashamed to say how much he eats in a day really. He also was added to a full dose of cupramine that had no impact on his appetite. fattest tang I've ever seen. No ammonia spike at all. This fish is going to make me poor to keep it fed though. He eats by himself as much as my other 4 tangs put together. And 2 of the others are bigger.
