BigBear's Frag Tank

Several reasons, I think.

I didn't follow Alk/Ca or pH like at all. I had a handful of corals that were looking good so I just kept up with water changes and assumed it would be enough. When I finally checked with a Hanna checker my alk around 5. My calcium was 300ish. I certainly don't think that was helping anything.

Also I was way, way over feeding the fish. Four rounds on the Eheim auto feeding a day for 6 fish. Algae is exploding despite all efforts.

I've pulled the coral out and put it in this tank. Pulled all the algae off I can and doing daily or every other day algae scrapings. Also running gfo in a BRS reactor.

This setup has an apex and I'm checking alk/ca daily.

I'm starting to see a little recovery in the zoas and I think my acan is starting to show a little life.

I'm tearing down the biocube this week and acid washing the rock and water cleaning the sand. We have a little home renovation coming up so I'll cure the rock in a brute can in the garage while that happens and then start the biocube over if I can't convince my wife that a 100g is the right next move.
