Biggest clown I've ever seen

My local big box pet store has a small marine section. When I go there for my 4 legged animals, I browse the fish they have. About a month or so ago, they had written "Adopt Me" on a tank, and low and behold this monster was in there.

These were taken today (4/8/16).

The fish is probably a good 4 inches long and looks to be pretty healthy. I inquired about the fish, and they told me someone traded it in, but they couldn't tell me why. Could I possibly keep this fish in my 40 breeder? I feel kinda bad for it being in a small tank, 10 gallons maybe. What kind of clown is it?

If I purchased it, would it cause any problems for my small clown I have now?

4 inch is nothing special - in the wild clarkii get 6 inches.
A while ago a store here had a fully grown 5 inch polymnus and it was dwarfing the angels and tangs around it. It was a real monster.

BTW: it has a somewhat deformed nose region - I wouldn't buy it.

In my experience with the Clark clowns they can become aggressive, so that may be why it was traded in....? He looks awesome tho!

It had a piranha-esque face. When it came close to the glass, you could see little tech in its mouth.

So the consensus is no, because of aggressive behavior, and the deformed nose?

Google Clarkii Clown agression - there are a few forums on here about it. They tend to be very aggressive, and with as large as it is I bet your small clown wouldn't last, especially given the size of your tank.
