Bio-Sea Marine Environment Salt...Good investment?

Is the Marine Environment salt sold at http://www.aquacraft.net a good investment? There is an article about it at http://aquacraft.net/w0018.html I am almost definately going to go with this salt but was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it good or bad?

I'm pretty sure most reefers here and elsewhere use Instant Ocean. I doubt the Bio-Sea is better or cheaper.

What was it about Bio-Sea that you specifically were attracted by? You might e-mail Dr. Bingman. He has done a lot of work on sea water chemistry and salt mixes.

There is something you have to remember, that article about the different salt brands was paid for by the manufacturer of that salt Bio whatever 2 part. The S-15 report that was put out has that companies salts as the number one brands. I belive there is independent studies out there but I think if you ask, Instant Ocean will be the consensus. Dont get sucked in by the adds. If I paid for a survey of my product you can be sure I would finish first.

be carefull. Dont believe anything the manufacturer says, Get real peoples opinions that buy and use sea salts/

I use this salt and have for several years with excellent results. I can't say hoe it compares as I have not done a side by side but it works for me.

You can't find it on the site because they no longer have the full report in one spot. They have pieces of it scattered around. The important thing that you may not be aware of is that this "report" was done in the 1980's.

P.S. - If you check the Library of this board under the name of Dr. Craig Bingman, you will find a recent analysis of several commercial salt mixes.

Here is the S-15 report, most reefers dont hold it in very high regard but I thought I would give you the lik\nk anyway. Most reefers use Instant Ocean I switched to it and my reef has never looked better. Check out my site in my profile

I used to use Deep Ocean. It was the crud my LFS sold before I knew any better. I use Instant Ocean in my 12 gallon tank and it is rock stable.

FYI, Deep Ocean had the worst rating of any salt in the Aqua Craft report.

How can you say that when the study clearly states:
