Biocube 29 chamber mods?

So I've been out of the hobby for about 4 years due to work and while work is still demanding I really missed Reefkeeping so after looking around I found a good deal on a used Oceanic Biocube 29. So far I've knoc out the false floor in chamber one and installed the heater and temperature sensor there. I really don't plan to do anything else with this chamber. Moving on to chamber 2 is where I want to change things. In the stock configuration this chamber is pretty much useless imo. What I would like do is silicone a third piece of glass in where water flows from chamber two into chamber three. The way it is now the water level in these two fluctuate with evaporation, I want to install an extra wall that will keep a fixed water level in chamber two for skimmer operation and only chamber three will fluctuate. Has anybody else done this? Ideas? Thoughts? I've ordered an ato but even with that installed I'd like chamber two to have a fixed water level more like a traditional sump.

In-Tank media has a basket that fits in there. You can add chemi-pure or purgen or both. That is what I did when I had my cubes. They also have another closed basket that you could add a small light and add cheto or something similar. They sell a low voltage light that can be submerged or just add a light behind chamber 2 if yours has the clear glass. That also works.

Chamber one, you could saw or remove the lip that separates chamber 1/2. For whatever reason that wall isn't the same height and it helps provide more flow. I also upgraded my return pump for better flow along with LED's.

EDIT: I seem to recall in the Nano section that there was a pretty good list of mods for these tanks. Try and search since I don't have it handy. Sorry.
