Hey guys new to the forums so if there is anything wrong with this post don't think twice to call me out.

Anyways I bought a 29g oceanic biocube with hood but the hood was gutted I just have the hood and light cover

I would like to have lights that will fit in the hood so it will look nice but if I cant then I will have to deal with it.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated I would like to keep corals. Mostly beginner stuff but I would like a decent light

Thank you

Look into Steve's LEDs retrofit kit. If you are any good at diy stuff this is the way to go in my opinion. Even if you arent, there is a 95% completed option where it is all soldered together already for you. It's a pretty easy kit to build though. For comparison, rapidled has a retrofit for the bc29 too. Also, the panorama pro strips will, fit in there, but the rapid and Steve's kits will grow anything you want.

I have the retro kit from nanoboxreef. Dave's lights are awesome. I have also heard great things about Steve's LED retro but have no experience with them. NanoBox lights for me were hands down the way to go. Dave gives you everything you need to get them installed, you just need to make a reflector (I used sheet metal for an air duct from Home Depot). It's not necessary but gives a little more balance to the light. His also comes with a bluefish controller so I can actively control my lights from my phone anywhere I have cell service.

I have LPS, SPS, softies etc, 3 fish and some inverts. my tank is almost 5 months old and I have good coraline growth and my Corals are growing great.

sorry about the crap pic, iphone. my Frogspawn is about double the size, my lights had just come on for the day so everything was waking up and I had put the lights into "photo" mode which took the lights up to 65%.
