Anyone using these? What's the real pro's/con's?

I ran them for year and a half. Ecobak. Work great. But I had to add nitrate to keep them pulling phosphate

Been using them for 3 years now 0 nitrates 0 phosphates

I think the proper chemical is sodium nitrate, but could certainly be mistaken as I don't need it.

I used seachem flourish nitrogen
