Birdnest growth picture

I know its an easy one but I gotta make myself feel good somehow, these aefw are killing me and non acros are the only thing that can make me happy at this point....

Got this frag with two small branches maybe less than a year ago from what I remember, sorry I can't find the memory card with the pic on it.

Yea I have thrown away so many frags off this thing, i wish I could get the aefw out of the tank and set up a frag tank, maybe someday.

Yea I was second guessing date once I realized how big it had grown. I think it's because it's right in the center of tank where all the powerheads flow meets and it's on it's own rock so it gets nice flow and light all around. I had similar growth with a green birdsnest in similar conditions. I probably should have posted the same view for the pic, I will see if I can find one.

Here is a shot from the same angle. The other birds nest behind the bop arent growning as fast I am thinking because they are up aginst the rocks, I did frag them a few times though.

Update time... I had to get a new rock to put this thing on so I cut it off and clipped some frags out of the middle while I had it out of the tank for the first time. Sorry the coral is a little colorless, I got a horrible dino outbreak and shut the lights off for a while, this is only 3 days after the lights got turned back on. Its been a heck of a month for sure.

I think keeping it in the center of the tank with even flow around it and placing it on its own rock has really helped it grow out well.

nice work! All my birds nest grow so thick they are like little bricks, and then they die in the center..

Yea I have seen a lot die in the center when they get real big, so far mine has enough flow where all the polyps are happy.
