Birdsnest placement?

Just purchased my first birdsnest. Any suggestions about acclimation. Tank position and light an water flow. I now have it under leds in bottom half of tank an moderate flow.

would need more info.tank depth,led setup and such...i have a birdsnest all the way on the bottom of my 75 under 250 watt halides and it has great,bright pink color.but then there are other things that determine coloration of a coral.ie water quality and such.

generally the higher in the tank the pinker, it will grow anywhere. Very hearty.

Does it need low po4 for it retain the pink ?

I think all sps color is accentuated when phos is .00 to .04, nitrates near 00, high light is also a factor.

Mine is about the mid point in the tank under a 250w, just below the level of an mp40.It didn't like the direct hit,so I moved it just below.

(im not sure as to why but my last 20 or so pictures have been way more blue than normal...tank does not look that blue in person,im on 250 watt 20 k radiums on pfo magnetic ballast so if ya know that combo ya know its not as blue as my pics make it seem)


EDIT:also want to mention that my bulbs are older than old by now...i think im pushing just over a year...

Start it in an low area and moderate current for a couple of days and slowly move it to the spot where you want. I have had one and its was under a 400 watt MH and strong current. They really are a nice piece of nature in anyones tank. Have a great day!
