I remember when I was a kid and I had my first freshwater aquarium, in my local town you could not find a single marine fish. But a friend of my dad (who had sold me the aquarium) had also given me magazines and I was hooked on angels.
When I got into reefing I was so disappointed that my childhood love (Pomacanthus paru) had kind of fallen in disgrace. But when they started to show in very large reefs, I realized how truly majestic these fish are.
There was a guy in France who was a legend among us, kind of a Kaizer Sauze (aka, everybody, knew about him, talked about him, fantasized about his tank, yet few people could tell they had seen it), when he finally came out of the woods with pictures and videos, I was taken aback by the amount of angels he had in there. (6m long, aka about 20 feet).
I love the angels you've got! The French has always been one of my favorites for I love that you included one of them! And the Annularis. It's great how the larger tank size makes it possible to keep corals and angels together... and lots of them!
I love those 2 fish also. Annularis is nice in a reef. The frenced sometimes get nasty when they get adult and we may have to fish him out. But I think this tank will come down and move before that!!! I just raised a juvy emperor to full adult and fat and big and boy did his personality change!! Went from shy to nuetral to harassing. Bye bye. None of that.
My Bi Color had to be caught and given away.Having said that,I think angels are worth the risk. When my 500 is up, I will give it another go!
any suggestions?
