Hello Drew,
I see you run a UV many feel that the UV is detrimental to a SPS reef. When you keep exotic fish I feel it is a must. Clearly, your reef does not seem to be affected by the UV. What are your thoughts about using a UV and sterilization of essential life?

well there is a thought thats why i cant get my nitrate dn even using a lot of vodka that vsome how the bacteria are zapped or the ethenol changed but guess what i never had a crazy breakout of ich velvet or anything but occasional flukes . so ya expensive fish , i wouldnt be without it . i will tell you also it keeps water clearer also . one time for about 72 hr period bulb went out . when i replaced it , i saw big light pennetration ans clarity change especially looking through sides of tank . now i bleached out some coral from this but that is just the change thing with sps .

Ted. Let's speak more regularly. Good catching up with you. I still Havnt figured out on larrys which is his new new blend he said something to me about being more orange from beta carotine. Is that the one you using?? Is it just bigger chunks and falls apart less easy?? I know there was a slight change in ingredients. I'm not even sure which ones I have or how I know.

Yeah, yours should have a Probiotcs sticker that also mentions fresh roe...these new flats do have an orange tint to them. I use all blends, the nano, veg, and standard reef frenzy...

Didn't he just send a cooler? All the food should be new. If you are still using stuff you bought at a lfs, it is the old stuff as the roe blend is not yet avail, except to a few beta-testing people...

Okay, so the cooler coming will be very different from the flats you have now. I still buy the 3 different blends...veggie, frenzy, and nano...I suspect your corals will love the roe..

Sorry to jump in on the conversation. I have heard good things about this food called Larry's. Is it a coral food or a fish food?

BTW, Drew I also run a UV on my reef as I keep exotics as well. I would not dare keep such fish without a good UV.

The food is best described as a cleaner fresher version on rods. Has fresh seafood. Fish are really hitting it and getting bulked up on it. And it doesn't turn red!!!!! And cloudy.

He has nano food for tiny fish and coral. And has big chunky predators stuff and stuff in between including a protein and veggy one.

Ya. That garage door has about one more week to live I think. Steel going in for sub basement digging now. Then concrete underpinning. They just dug a major 3 fooot tranche deep for pipes coming out of back of tanks.

Using both, have very little of the old left...
the roe version is not avail yet to the public...

Ok cause I do see some more orange in color from beta carotine. I thought that was the new stuff. Theres newer new stuff??
