birth of 2 builds totaling 30k gallons

I'll be learning as I go along here also. Big difference in equipment between 1500 gallons now and 30k. Most nervous about getting in and out of tank and crawling on cat walks and just in general about this thing consuming my life.

just enjoy it :)

if parts of it get burdensome, delegate it out to someone else, there are plenty of people in the trade to problem solve and help

but don't lose sight of the beauty and intrigue the oceans bring, and the slice of it being in your home

Oh that part I'm not worried about. What about taking out acro that stn ed or fell. How many times you stick your arm in tank, to move of fix something??

Every arm stick -,in, is equivalent to 2 ladder climbs in and out and wet suit and regulator and compressed air, mask and weight belt.

well yes, to a degree

but even in my tank, if I'm busy or just don't feel like it, I'll let it be until I have time, even the next day, and I don't care what the consequence is, I don't let it dictate my time

interestingly, almost always, the same thing is there, unchanged, the next day, just on my own time :)

Iacocca had good advice in his book about not over analyzing,... just keep moving forward. Over thinking instead of just figuring something out and then going with it can be stressful! I know because I do it all the time :headwally:---Rick

Synrg it's even hard for me to even visit scape and see how it's changing as they work.climbing up 10 ft and crawling and swinging around on ladder going down in the mud is tough. Just going to wait till they closer to done and take next set of pics.

This would be very time consuming and annoying at the same time. It bothers me when I stick my arm in my tank to my shoulder and have to dry my arm off. Taking a swim with full gear on each time... Wow. Maybe you should look into a underwater ROV with gimbal arms

Congratulations on the Reef tank of the month! I really enjoyed reading the backstory on how you got started and your trials and tribulations if you will.
