So I plan on keeping the glass on the top so I used a glass cutter to make a notch for the filter and in these pics you can see how successful that was

Leak tested the filter all day and all is good.

Tonight I am going to get some sand from the beach.

That's how cheap we gotta keep this.

What kind of spray paint did you use to paint the back of the tank? Did you use paint thinner to remove the oils from the tank?

You are supposed to use Krylon so it bonds but i just got the cheap wally world spraypaint.

You have to be careful not to scratch it afterward.

carl. ive got about 80 - 100lb of aragonite still in bags. i think i can spare a scoop or two.

aural - I have some mont digi frags and a few shrooms. I am trying to find some 3-4 polyp zoo frags, quarter size monti cap frags, 1" kenya tree type frags (basically something that will stand up and wave and not take over the tank).

Kogo - I went to the beach last and got some sand and it is just so brown. I may take you up on that offer.

On another note . . .

I built my cabinet this weekend. I know a guy in the cabinet business and we did it at his shop. I am blown away. I don't have a pic of it right now but I will get some and put them up.

got my light mounted last night.

so now i have:
tank, filter, light, and cabinet.

Now I just lack:
water, rock, corals
