bit worry, noobies first coral a zoanthus....

i bought my first zoa yesterday and i carefully put it on my tank 20h. as soon as i put it my peppermint shrimp jump on it. the first day it didnt open :twitch:. today as the ligth turn on my zoa started to open and when it was almost completely open the shimp jump on it. its been like 4 hours today and the same thing keep happening.
is this normal?
are my shimp hungry?
will the zoa survive?
any takes?

I hate shrimps... they mess with corals, steal from LPS and mess with polyps sometimes. they do at times pick around the polyps trying to eat ditrious? but doing so, stands on the polyps causing them to close.

They do mean well but are very annoying...

what I do sometimes is place them on a frag rack. allows them to be not bothered by anything even ampipods, lets the get acclimated to the tank with ease.

good advice, but my current tank does not provide me that space... maybe in the near future.

you can use those small magnetic glass/plexi scrapers and mcgyver it to a tiny frag holder.
