She's connected and flowing! Full siphon on the far end and the one closer to the camera is the emergency overflow.

The tank is so quite now. I'm very happy I decided to do this basement sump thing.

Still lots to do:
1. I have to take my apex stuff downstairs.
2. Wire an outlet into the room.
3. Build a wall, put in a door, finish the space with drywall or plywood and paint.
4. Build an ATO container
5. Move my RODI stuff
6. Build a stand for the frag tank and plumb it in
....

Post a few pics!

Not much has happened unfortunately.

I installed one piece of drywall behind the sump. So I can start working on the frag tank stand. The frag tank is still on the floor waiting for a cleaning and re-plumb.

I connected my old brute cans as the ATO that's gravity fed with a float valve. Still need to build a container because this looks horrible and takes up too much space.

I fired up some commercial stage wash LEDs to grow the cheato. The sump is full of cheato now after only 2 weeks of these lights being on. I'm amazed as I'm lucky to be in the business. There is no way I could actually afford to buy these lights.

The last thing I did is to build a lid over the skimmer chamber. I cut out the hole for the skimmer cup to stick out for cleaning. It also helps tremendously with noise reduction.

I'll try to post some pics below. For some reason it's not letting me right now from the Tapatalk app.

I will be topping this with 1" stair threads I pulled when I replaced the stairs to the 2nd floor of the house. On top of that will go 1/2" closed cell styrofoam and then the frag tank

I also moved my apex stuff to the basement. It's still a wiring mess but it's working. Got a DOS as well. Ran a USB cable through the wall to have control over the lights and fans in the canopy to a PB4 also. Thanks for digging up the PB4 Pife!

Project splitter really moving along. I can't believe the growth you got out of those stage lights. That's awesome.

I'm really happy with the growth as well. It is keeping my phosphate levels and my nitrate levels extremely low without any kind of media or biopellets. 0.00 NO3 and 0.01 PO4. I might have to put the lights on a timer so they are not on 24/7 to give the cheato a break. It's starting to bleach/ die back because of the low nutrients. Alos, as soon as I let the DKH rise above 7.5 I get burnt tips on the acros. I have been trying to keep keep it between 6.75 and 7.25. There is such a thing as too low for nutrients.

The glow of halides! How I have missed it!!

150W USHIO (14K I believe) 300 par Center, 200 in the middle and 6" from the outside I have 100 par. I like these readings.

The rest of the frag tank is still dark but it's up and running.
