I am new to the hobby. Ordered a black box 165w ramping led from the Facebook group buy. I had a program with 10 min intervals and it worked fine. I just changed it to 20min intervals and it won't change the settings unless I scroll through the different preset programs and go back to "custom". Anyone have any ideas? I've posted on the group buy page but haven't received much help...

You have to go into the 'custom' menu and change every setting. That's why I only do 1 hour changes. Making 24 changes to blue and 24 more to white is more than enough work for me!

Yes.. You need to change the intensity for each color and each time set point. If for example your controllers timer has a set point for every 30 minutes and your light has 3 color channels then you need to create a set point for 48 time intervals x 3 light channels. That would 144 set points because you would need to do a set point for the lights off times as well. As mentioned above, changing the timing interval to 60 minutes simplifies things a bit and saves on a lot of button presses. I went through similar programming on a freinds tank with two Reef Breeders and boy did I miss the simplicity of my Kessils coupled with my Apex. I made the mistake of using a 20 or 30 minute interval. My fingers were sore after pushing buttons like that.

Yes. That should clear any previous settings and restore it's controller to default.
