Hey, I was just wondering if anyone had these and if anyone has some info on them, where are they from ? How much are these zoanthids worth ruffely ? are they considered a more "rare" zoanthid ? thanks for the help :)

I was told these were purple hornets but to me they dont look like them, what do you think ?

They look a little blue but that might just be the light. Besides that they do have the small ring and alternating skirts indicating a purple hornet

They are a purple colour, I think it is just the light. Do purple hornets have that white/silver cicrle in the middle ?

I have seen a few pics of some that do, but most don't. May have started as a purple hornet but this polyp had a little more white than the others and that was the one fragged, a morph of sorts?

They were BLUE hornets but I think may have been re-named.

I thought blue hornets were blue with yellow ? these are purple any info on them ?

Those are the FAKE blue hornets that someone coined up. They're really african zoos, alien eyes and similar morphs. The REAL blue hornets that folks know as are the ones you have pictured.

i use to have the Black hole suns and i can tell u guys that they are very tiny polyps and the skirts are diferents...

i have blue hornets and the polyps are bigger compare to the black hole suns...

i have some pictures of the black hole suns here

i had black hole suns and i have blue hornets, from my experience i can say they're not the same, also the color of the black hole suns are deep purple,
anyway both are nice though.

they are similar to blue hornets, but blue hornets have a slightly smaller white mouth, but not quite as small as the purple hornets. they look identical to purple hornets with a slightly larger white mouth.

You know, this is why naming zoas is asinine! I do however get sucked into it also. I have started to say "if I like them who cares what they are called!"

It matters when people try to rip others off by giving other polyps other names in the name of profit or trying to get more than what their's is really worth. People calling one polyp another famous polyp to gain something more from it. ( I'M NOT SAYING THIS IN REGARDS TO THIS THREAD, BUT IN GENERAL TO ALL THESE OTHER CRAZY POLYP NAMES )
