black ick

has anyone ever had black ick. i just got a foxface and it came down with black ick. how do you treat it. also would anyone have a hospital tank in the height that i might need.

Oh black ick is bad it is hard to get rid of...Quarantine him: hypo and some cupramine is what I have found to work the best...This is a not too common ailment which does not manifest itself too often.. I ll hit you up to tell you about it!!!

LOL.....tells you how new I am, I have never even heard of black ick. Sorry dude, I hope you can get the fish sorted, I hate when fish get sick. They are like family for me.

I have heard freshwater dips help alot w/ black ich as well, might wanna try that if the stuff reign said doesnt get rid of it.

just a update i put the fish into a nursing tank at low salinity and copper. i tried three day of fresh water dip for about 10min each. hope thing go good.
