Black percs

I have this beautiful pair of black percs that just stay down at the bottom ,in the back of my 400 gal reef tank. I have had them close to a year now and they never come out to the front of the tank. Is there any way to change the spot that they hang out in? Would love to see them in the front of the tank.

Believe it or not fish have a mind of their own. You really can't make them do anything.

Do they have an anemone or coral that hosts them? If so you can try moving it the spot you would like them to hang out and see if they follow.

They are not comfortable in your 400 g with likely larger faster fish. If you have a host for them, they will be much more comfortable.

Thanks for the replies, you guys are both right, I have one anemone, but is hosted by a huge gold marroon clown, and do have some large fast fish. Maybe might just give them up to a person with a more peaceful tank.

That's probably your answer right there... Gold Stripe Maroon. Those are the most aggressive clowns - and she has your Black Percs trained to 'stay in their place'. Women huh... Lol

Actually just aquired the maroon with the anemone. The percs have been in the same spot, the opposite side of the tank, for about a year.
