Hey all, I asked my LFS to get an small 1-11/2" bsc in for me and his supplier sent two 4-5" clowns, I have a 2 1/2" bsc thats been in my tank foe over 2years now,but I would love to pair him/her up but don't know if it will work seeing that mine has been in the tank mateless for 2yrs. By the clowns at the store being alot bigger the mine can I still pair mine up with one of them or will I be wasting my time?

Also the two bsc are in the same tank but was not shipped as a pair,One is a little bit bigger than the other and swims in a normal straight line while the other swims up and down, Does this mean that they are pairing up or just a fluke?

Thanks for any help given
Joe

I would try to get a smaller one than you have. Your's has probably made the tank his or her home by now and a larger one may end up fighting with him or her....

it's normal for Saddleback Clowns to "bob" up and down.
Black Saddlebacks are very nasty fish and very difficult to pair. If you have access to a bonded pair I would definitely keep them together and get rid of the third wheel- or THEY will.
