Black Spots on Two clownfish.

Hey guys. I got Two regular clownfish in a 29 gallon tank a month ago and they seemed to be healthy. About three weeks ago i started to notice black spots on their body and it seems to be multiply. My thoughts were that it would go away in a few days, but its been about three weeks and it has not. WHat are these black spots? I also have a baby blue tang in there and he seems to scratch a few times during the day.

I also noticed that the clowns seems to be a little bit more slow when it comes to food, before they seemed like they haven't eaten in days and would chase after the food, but now they are much slower at eating.

could this be a disease, how do i treat it, Help?:eek2::eek2::eek2:

Pictures? It could be "stings" from LPS or a host anemone, or could be a disease. Pictures will help determine.

Im not quite sure what it is but here are some pictures of them. they are not trying to host any of my corals so far. they are usually by the powerhead.

Those do look like coral stings. Mine had a rash of those from doing drive-bys past a large paly. Keep an eye on the tang. They can be ich prone and may be stressed from being in the 29.

In this tank i have a dohnut coral, polythoa, zoas, and a kanye tree, and candy cane. not too many corals, but maybe the huge dohnut coral could be the problem? should i treat the fish with an ich treatement? i never quarantined them, and before i added this clowns, i bought a clown that i didnt now had ich and it ended up dyeing in three days. what should i do?

If you had a fish with ich, you run the risk of your other fish contracting the same, Ideally you set up a hospital tank and medicate the fish and leave them in that tank for 6-8 weeks. Your display tank should remain fishless for this same period of time to ensure the ich is dead. Seeing as this is a small tank, I would remove the tang and keep a close eye on the clowns for signs of ich. Feed them well and do your best to eliminate stress (i.e., keep your hands out of the tank as much as possible). I feel the black spots are coral stings but that is only my opinion based on my own experience. Again, I recommend that you to remove the tang.
