Was it mismarked? I think I would pay shipping on a $250 black tang too! Seems too good to be true.

No silverfish/blue streak yet.i have seen smaller ones that do have it. From my understanding that streak is related to stress or emotions of the tang. I assume since mine grew up for 3 years with the same two fish and the environment has gone unmolested, that maybe that's why the streak hasn't developed. I recently removed the leapord wrasse, or I should say she removed herself from the tank. So now it's the black tang and a black occelaris clown. The leapord is alive and well though in my larger tank. That's were the black tang is heading very soon. I will keep you updated about the streak. I prefer not to see it, but I know it will show up one day. How did you score it for 250? That's what the hybrids go for around me.

That's interesting, I don't know how i feel about the streak. I love the jet black look mines has now, but the streak is pretty cool too. Definitely let me know when yours starts to show it, post some pics too.

Yes please enlighten me on where to get a black zebrasoma that isn't a hybrid for 250$?!!

I got it at a store in Atlanta called Nemo's. I shop there often, and really like the stores owner. They typically do not sell super high end fish, this was the first time I've seen them offer black tangs and they only had two for sale. They also have the best fish prices in my opinion too.

That is one of the best looking Black Tangs I have seen. Great Buy.

No, it was listed at $250. The owner had a smaller one for sale for $235, but I wanted the bigger one. The price was fantastic, I didn't have to think very hard before I bought it. Another store in the ATL area just listed one for sale on my local forum for $450, this seems to be more in tune with the going rate.
