Black vs white eggcrate

IME, white or black doesn't matter much for algae. An acrilic rack with holes for plugs doesn't give much upwflow from the bottom and has much less algae. It's also much easier to clean.

I may just go the Mike Paletta method and just have a couple of Black Sailfin Mollies in the frag tank to just eat the hair algae that grows on the egg crate.

There is a guy on Ebay making acrylic frag racks in Pennsylvania. They looked clean and professional. I sent him an email for a quote.

I'd like to try that .Do you think they would eat bryopsis or red turf algae?
