so i have cyano and i was reading where a 3 day blackout period is recommended, i was wondering what this would do to my carpet anemone? my fear is it will unfoot and move around what do you all think???

Depends on how long youve had the anemone I think... Also your cyano problem is not going to just be resolved from turning your lights off. There is a root to the problem, and I would search some cyano threads on here to check it out more in depth, Good luck

i know that the issues started with the fact i filled my tank with my garden hose. i didnt have a choice with this as my other tank started to leak. over the last week i did a 10 to 15g water change every day (tank is a 80g) with ro/di water where the tds was under 4. i have also started to dose vodka to help with nitrates which were approx 40 ppm and am running a product my blue life that is similar to chemipure elite to also help with both phosphates and any other issues.

the anemone has been in there for a few weeks and has not moved since i put it in there

I would just manually remove the cyano during water changes.
Try to get your TDS to zero -- you have no idea what is in that "4".

I do not htink the cyano will affect your anemone but are your tank parameters in check?

Water changes with 0 TDS will help reduce your nitrates and nutrients that is causing cyano.
Try to cut down on your feeding as well.
