I had this clam close to a year and its been doing excellent. Today it was found with mucos all around it. Do you think the Blastomussa Welsi {which was right next to it} could this have eaten away at the foot? The Blastomussa Welsi is around 12inches in diameter.
The byssal glands slime up randomly for some reason. Keep an eye on the clam and make sure nothing is irrtating it. I am unfamiliar with blastos but you should move the blasto away if you think there is a chance that it stung the clam.
