Bleached Zoos

Hi,

I was working on my tank early this week and I inadvertantly unplugged the heater. The tank is in the garage and got down to 60-65 degrees for a day or a few days (not sure exactly when the problem happened). Anyway, I plugged the heater back in. I noticed that some of the zoos in my biggest colony have started opening backup, but they are now a very pale shade of green/gray. A few of them are completely white.

Here is the questions, basically what should I do:

How long should I give the zoos to recover? Will they recover?

Do I need to prune the colony of any zoos which aren't green (original color)?

Should I just abondon the whole colony and be more careful in the future.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Nate Terry

I'd let them go and observe. I have some right now that I bought closed up and completely bleached (couldn't believe the LFS actually charged me for them-thought they were freebies...). They are starting to open up but still completely white. I've had them color back up, so I'm hoping these will do the same. If they develop some sort of fungus or something, you would want to dip or take some other action, but as long as they are just bleached, I'd give them time.
