Someone on another board suggested this was bleached. I'm not all that familiar with anemones since this is my first. What do you think? It's been in the tank for two days so far and has stayed inflated and eaten some shrimp that I gave it.

Thanks. That's what I thought. The LFS did have some pretty bad looking anemones, but this one was hiding way in the back on the opposite side of a rock. I actually missed it the first time past the anemone tank. glad I found it because they usually don't have ones with color like this (orange tips).

I think some people define bleached as any transparency to the tenticles or disc.

Or very wild and vivid colored specimens, that may have been bleached white and then dyed a crazy color.

Your anemone will probably darken a bit but it looks really nice.

He might color up to be a bit darker in time with proper care and feedings, but I wouldn't say he's bleached at all...great find!

Thanks everyone. I feel much better about this purchase now. Now, if only my clowns will notice it and host it. I have false percs but read that they "may" host in BTAs. I don't have a big enough tank for the natural host for them.
