Bleaching favia or something else?

Only been in for a few days. The red is getting lighter in some areas. It's halfway down (1ft from the surface).

I find my favias need to be almost hidden from the light.

The pinkish area is spreading and getting lighter.

I've cut my photoperiod but I don't know if this is really bleaching? The center color is unchanged and the change seems to be in a band where the favia turns a corner like stretching.

That looks to be a war coral (LPS not SPS) that is either getting too much light, not enough food, or both.

Could my skimmer be stripping the water of key nutrients?

Isn't a favia SPS?

Actually it's all either stony or softies etc. SPS and LPS are hobby references to help categorize the two. And this forum is categorized as Small polyp stony corals, which Favia is not categorized under.

So. I put it in a darker lower spot and have been feeding it Restor. It's recovering exceptionally well and even generating new polyps!
