so i have a scooter blenny or what i was sold as a blenny turns out its a dragonet and has pretty specific feeding needs my tank is pretty established about a year now and i have plenty of live rock i also notice he eats a lil of the frozen/flake food i feed the other guys...any advice for keeping him healthy??

Train it. I do agree with trying to maximise the pod population in the tank but these are inheritantly unstable and can crash from time to time, so its good it lready takes frozen food. These are an intelligent species and will quickly learn to recognise a pipette or similar as a source of a meal. I always try and train mine straight away as it makes keeping them fat and healthy so much easier. IT also helps minimise competition within the tank, from other micro predators.

+1

I bought a Scooter Blenny a while back and had the lfs show me it was eating mysis before I bought it. As soon as I got it home I watched it decimate the pod population in my tank since then ive been making sure it eats the mysis. I suppliment my feedings with pods that I keep reintroducing to the system but that I doubt last long enough to really thrive.

+1 I was able to make a rock pile in the a spot in the tank where he always hunted, then I took cyclopeze and pe mysis and mixed them together dropped in a bit of garlic and refroze it. Took about a month of turning the pumps off and coating that rock work in the spaces he would fit but the others would not, now he is fat and happy all the time.
