I have a crocea that's quite prosperous. I'm thinking of a lawnmower or other blenny. Have it filed somewhere in my mind that some blennies can be a problem with clams...

Compatibility advice, anyone?

I know the tailspot blennies are safe with the clam, but they're hard to get in my area.

THanks for the advice. I can say the little tailspots are clam-friendly. Maybe I'll look for one of those.

I had a lawn mower blenny with a clam for 3 years, and never had an issue.

I now have a golden blenny with my two clams, and except for when it eats some algae off the shells, there have been no ill effects. If you stick with the algae blenny's I think you would be fine.

I have a Midas, Flame tail, and a Lawnmower blenny in my tank for over 9 months with 7 Clams and have not had any problems. But who knows you might get one that likes clam strips. LOL

I had to get a by color and Lawnmower blenny out of the tank because they was scraping out all my clams and SPS.

My lawnmower has never been a problem with the clam. I have a 12" squamosa and he is so fat and lazy he actually lies on one of the leaflets when the clam is open. At first it really bothered the clam, now it doesn't mind.

My blenny is natoriously bad about nassarious snails....if he sees one it drives him crazy...he swims down and grabs it in his mouth, swims mid level and shakes the crap out of it and then drops it.

He does nip at my finger sponge a little too. But it stays clean and I have not noticed any damage.

my eyelash blenny went after all the clams in my tank to the point that they would not open at all. I had to move them to a different tank and they were fine after that.
