Blind tusk

So it has been blind for about 2-3 weeks I have to feed it selcon soaked shrimp on a skewer. It's tail is munched pretty good from tank mates. It has a regular hiding spot and can smell the food, just can't find it. It can navigate about sort of well through the tank bumping into rock on occasion. From reading on wwm it isn't too uncommon for this fish. They also didn't say whether it was reversible or not. Any ideas?

Should I put it out of its situation?

For most fish, and especially your Tusk, blindness is not reversible from what I have read. I have alos read that the Tusk seems to exhibit this ailment more so than other specimens collected in the hobby. You can certainly continue to do what you are already doing to keep the Tusk fed, however I would recommend to euthanize. Sorry.

I will if I can't come up with a better solution. It is becoming more difficult to kill it that I would have thought it would be (I'm turning soft!). I am currently trying to see if someone locally would want it to put into a safe tank and target feed it. Thanks for the input.
