Bloated clownfish

I have had her for well over a year now and have noticed that she looks really bloated after eating for the past couple of weeks. See pictures below. She looks like she is about to explode and she only swims upside down facing the bottom of the tank. Does anyone know what's going on here?

Is she eating flake off of the surface? I've seen fish bloat up from swallowing air when consuming flakes, which is why I always swish all the flake into the water column.

I know how this is going to sound but see if she will eat a pea. A plain ol' boiled pea, peel off the skin and only feed the insides. Some folks (including myself) use this to relieve symptoms of swim bladder and stomach bloating.

i had my Latz female that looked exactly like that. I treated her with Maracyn cause its an infection. if you can remove her and put her in a QT. mine was fine after 3 days and looked 75% better on day 2. but finish the whole treatment duration.
my latz female sphincter looked like she had roids and even her scales were poofing up and point up.

I actually don't have a QT tank. So I have to treat my whole tank (120 gallon) with this maracyn? I will try the pea tomorrow. No peas in the house.

FYI Maracyn is NOT reef/invert safe. Reef safe treatment options are extremely limited: PraziPro, Epsom Salt, a pea...

I think it worked. Everyone actually liked the peas. I fed my fish 3 of them...they all ate it. Then I fed mysis and I didn't notice the bloating. Are peas a normal thing to feed your fish? Nothing negative about feeding peas?

My son would tell you a million reasons not to eat peas But I think they are pretty fish safe.

I don't feed my fish peas on a regular basis. I have a PB Tang that has some sort of intestinal issues. If she eats too much nori, she'll swim in circles at the surface... almost like she has swim bladder. So I put her in a trap, feed boiled peas for a few days, and then she's good to go.

Peas didn't help the bloated clownfish. All the fish liked the peas though. The clown definitely ate the peas...or parts of them at least. He still gets bloated.

Waiting for this storm I decided to check the tank with the lights off. It looks like my clown laid eggs on my echinata. The pair had been hanging out around the echinata for some time now. The male clown was right there when I turned the lights on. Can someone confrim that those pink "eggs" are actually eggs. Thanks

Peas have always been an ingredient in Formula II; possibly the most popular food designee for herbivores; although most other fish love it too.

bumping a dead thread! Im having the same exact symptoms with my female. She was only introduced about a week or two ago with her new male mate. Is it possible she would already be laying eggs? Im going to do the whole pea thing if it gets worse, and im tempted to put her into QT but after reading this article im wondering if she might just be layuing eggs soon?
