Bloated/Preggers/Sick? Ocellaris

My female(?) clown is very bloated. Her cloaca is a bit "open" looking, but she is definitely not about to poop. She's not swimming around the tank as much, I'm guessing because she's so clumsy with her big 'ol belly. She's spending a lot more time in the corner with the return where the clowns sleep at night. I'm guessing she's pregnant/gravid. I posted a picture in my tank thread a few days ago calling the fish a glutton, but she hasn't changed... So I'm guessing she wasn't fat, just full of eggs?

She is fat all the time, but after eating is especially rotund.

How do I make sure she's pregnant and not having a medical issue?

wat i think is just that its just a FATTY CLOWNFISH... its so cute.. lol.. my question is.. does it ahve a boyfriend? if it does and they are like hanging out together etc... then she can be preggerZ...

Mine has been the exact same way for the past year. At first I thought she was pregnant but it turns out shes just a little Piggy

Just a thought. Does she/he feed on flake food from the surface? Sometimes they swallow air and it could be fatal. I always wet flake food so that it sinks and it's a good way to add liquid vitamins to flake food if the fish get used to the taste.

I have to agree with premmas. I you a feeding flake it could be air. I had one of mine try to go belly up. It got air stuck in it's stomach and I have since mixed flakes and pellets. It's swelling went down hasn't had a problem since the swicth.

I have never fed flake food. I feed a variety of frozen meaty foods, cyclopeeze, and rarely feed pellet food as my fish don't prefer it.
