Blowing GFI

I just changed yhe actinics in my Current outer orbit fixture from PC's to T-5's. I replace the PC balasts with workhorse 5's. Now my GFI is popping 1 to 2x per day which is cutting power to my tank. The old ballasts drew .90A each. The new ballasts draw 1.15 amps. Could the extra current be tripping it or did I wire something wrong?? The lights fire no problem.

Any ideas.

Thanks

CAREFULLY find the circuit that the GFI is on and feel the wire in the panel after the circuit is on for a while, if its warm at all that means its slightly overpowered...what size it the wire and breaker on the circuit? and is there anything else on with the tank?

there might also be a mis-wireing since the GFI's purpose is to trip if there is a current leak to a ground or neutral...hope this doesnt sound like korean.

New ballast grounded? Did you mount the new ballasts in the fixture or externally? I doubt that the extra .25 amp is going to trip the GFCI.
