here's some I took a couple months ago. I've never seen the blue angels. these are of the thunderbirds.

Neat-o we had the Thunderbirds @ Kennedy Space Center last year. That was a good show.

I'm curious, what lens were you using? I had a 70-200 f/2.8 IS.

The 70-200MM is good for statics at airshows but 400MM or more is ideal. These were shot with the 500MM.

WOW that is some amazing shots from both of you. I remember when we use to have the Blue Angels or The Thunderbird fly in the air shows we had @ The Tustin air base or El Toro Marine Base here in SoCal. Was kind of sadden when they stopped doing them and closed the bases.

WOW you guys are making home sick. I spent many a year at Patrick AFB as an airforce brat!

NIce photos. I too have never seen the Blue Angels but am a die hard Thunderbirds fan.

I surf Patrick AFB all the time. I surfed the best and biggest waves of my life some...6 years ago at Patrick.
