Blue carpets new thread

Moved On
It is coming up to two months having my bluecarpet and would like to update him with all of you guys and report he is doing fantastic. I have just taken some pics of him with the lights off and when the lights were just turned on, i cant wait to catch a pic of him with the little guys rollin around in him but everytime i go near the tank they think its feeding time. The first three pics are when the lights were off and the rest are when they were just turned on, i will post some pics when he is all spread out in about an hour or two. Enjoy! Also as you can see he has found a new home on the bottom, i think he likes the sand a lot better than i would have thought. The little white spots on the anemone are little pices of sand.
I have already posted this but have made the pictures smaller.

just to ask where did you get yours? online, LFS? I just ask because when i had mine i was alittle spoiled in working for a LFS and got to hand pick mine from the wholesaler from about 25 different ones. I like to see that he is doing well mine lived happily till a friend convinced me to sell it to him and it died two months later after living happily in my tank for about a year and a half, should never had sold it.

Yeah, Bluecarpets are really common in the wholse sale markets nowdays.

So Bluecarpet, are you ever going to upgrade to a bigger tank?

Actually after the tsunamis that hit, the blue carpets (the true blue carpets not dyed) have become rare to get in. But to answer guys question i got mine from www.aqua-holics.com from there store, they only get about 2 in a year so i was really lucky to get mine.

if you look on his tank info he has a 12 gallon dlx nano. If you know your nanos like I do he has 40 watts of pc over it.

I think this tank is too small and the light is too weak for S. haddoni. IMO, this anemone will not live long in this system. I may be wrong but I doubt it.
