Blue Damsel doing something weird?

I recently downsized my tank and moved everything over into a smaller 40 gal. He now randomly goes to the bottom corner of my tank, buries himself in the sand bed a little bit and shakes, kind like he is swimming in place. He blows sand everywhere when he does it and its annoying haha.

might be trying to hide, mine did that when I tried to catch him. Took out EVERY single rock and he wasn't there. I freaked, until he popped out of the sand lol

Very common damsel behavior.

My maroon clown does the same thing... she's 4.5" and loves to rearrange all the sand in the tank.

Yes, same family. Thats why they can both be pretty nasty.
