Blue haddoni carpet with black occellaris

Here are some pictures of my carpet which has been with me for a little under three months now.

What kind of lighting do you have? I don't see any coraline or any algae at all.

150 watt halides, the rock is mostly dry macro rock, with some established (aptasia free) rock from my old previous system, and half of the sand is from my old system as well.

Thanks everyone, I was lucky to find one in such good condition, before purchase. It never gave me any problems in terms of gaping mouth or the inflation and deflation and quickly takes in food.

I like the occ's too. Mine took to my carpet pretty quickly with a little encouragement with a flashlight and lights out.

Black occies are among my favorites and they took to the carpet almost immediately. I have had maroons hosting in the blue carpet but the sand digging habits of the female were beginning to irritate me, so I went back to my favorites of black occellaris. Here is a pic of my old breeding pair of black occies in another blue carpet I briefly owned

Thank you brock, I have tried 2 other ones only to have them die within a few weeks, which seems to be the fate of most haddonis. This blue one is doing absolutely great, and has grown to 9 inches in a few months of care and feedings. I picked up a small 4.5 inch electric green one, and I hope it does as well as this one, but only time will tell.

Great nem and occies....Been looking online no one seems to have any blues around just curious to where you picked up blues from????

Thanks, picked it up at an LFS. Its not to difficult to find colored carpets in Southern California, and one of my regular stores gets them in frequently.

Thanks, I wish it was, but it is the similiar African flameback angel (cost around 30 bucks compared to thousands), currently have a trio of them going.
