Blue Haddoni - Trapped air? Foot secure but half trying to float

Hi All,

I purchased this today. Appeared fine in store when I place it in my tank I had to have it out of the water for a minute or so whilst trying to carefully peel the foot from a terracotta pot it was attached too.

After placing in the tank the foot attached immediately but the thing is half trying to float. The nem appears healthy and is eating, its trying to sting me when im nearby which is another healthy sign.

I fed the prawn to the top of the floating part and the tentacles passed the prawn all the way to the mouth.

Im at a loss? Im guessing its ingested some oxygen? What the heck do I do? Ive googled and havent found much to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update. Upon advice, tried using a pin to ***** the ends and plenty of bubbles came out.

Its now only partially lifting. will give it the night to recoup and then re-assess.

I've had that happen a couple times. The nem will work it on its own over 2-3 days.

Ok all good and well. By using a pin to push through the nem where the bubbles were the bubbles expelled and overnight when the nem inflated it was able to push the rest out himself.

Interesting, didnt actually know that could happen and ive kept carpets for years.
