Blue hippo question

Currently have a 15 gal and 55 gal going through the 72 day fallow period.

55 gal stock
3 - 1-1.5 inch chromis
2 - clowns (1 inch and 1.5 inches)
1 - 2 inch yellow tang
1 - 2 inch luitenant tang
1 - 2 inch lawnmower blenny

15 gal stock
2 - 1 inch clowns
1 - 1 inch ywg
1 - 1.5 inch fire fish

Now here's the thing I also have a half inch blue hippo that I'm not sure of where to put him. I was thinking maybe the 55 gal would be too big for him as of right now and that the bigger fish might intimidate him. Should I drop him into the 15g and as he grows bigger switch him to the 55? Or just drop him off with the bigger fish and hope for the best?

All fish are currently separated in different tanks as all bigger fish are together and smaller ones together. Did ttm and prazi on all and is currently in observation period.

Both are. When I started I didn't qt and it taught me a valuable lesson. I transferred a fish that had ich into the 15 from the 55 in hopes of separating him from the others. Sadly that fish didn't make it and ended up contaminating both tanks with ich. Currently I have 3 10 gals a 20 gal and 2 2.5 gal qt/ht tanks.

Run to petco and get a 55g tank to treat the all. They have the dollar per gallon sale on right now...

So the original post was edited, which I should include that we will be having a 200 gal in-wall setup by the end of next year which should hopefully be sufficient enough for them.

Pretty much the question is this. I have a baby blue hippo about the size of half an inch. My question is would it be better to add the blue tang into the 15 gal for now, and into the 55 when it grows bigger? Or should I just let him into the 55 gal with the other bigger fish and hope for the best? Ultimately the fish in the 55 wil go into a 200 gal next year.

We kept a BABY Yellow Bellied Blue Tang in a 55 for years... maxed out around 2.5".

After we moved him to the 470, he doubled in size in about a year...

Did you have any other fish with the blue tang as well? I'm just worried about the aggression from the other tangs due to the size of the baby blue tang.

Hippos are extremely good at hiding, slipping into the tightest cracks. I am sure he will be fine in the 55.

Had a Yellow Tang and a clown.

Yellow Tang was the boss, never bothered the Blue though.

Now the Yellow is least dominant tang in the tank and the Blue is the most aggressive fish in the tank...
