Blue legged pistol shrimp - Will It Pair?

A blue legged pistol shrimp hitchhiked into my tank on a batch of live rock from Tampa Bay Saltwater. I haven't had a pistol shrimp before and in researching it I haven't been able to find any information about whether this specific species will pair with a goby. I have found several posts suggesting that gobies from different oceans than this pistol shrimp won't pair up, which makes sense to me. Has anyone heard of this species of pistol shrimp pairing up with a goby of Caribbean / Gulf origin?

There are actually relatively few pistol shrimp species that get into a symbiosis with gobies. Those are usually the ones that live on rather sandy grounds where they dig burrows and benefit from having a lookout during their tunneling work.
Pistol shrimp that live in rocks generally don't have much need for a lookout.
This has not really to do from where the shrimp and goby are. There is in fact at least one such symbiosis in the Atlantic/Caribbean: Comparative Ecology of the Gobies Nes longus and Ctenogobius saepepallens, Both Symbiotic with the Snapping Shrimp Alpheus floridanus
