Blue Linkia Stafish... diet?

I always avoid these but a lfs insisted he has great success with this one supplier - so I got him. Been doing great 2 months but hasn't moved one bit.

I don't want to "disturb" him but anyone have any insight into their diet? (i.e. anything "special" compared to other stars) thanks!

I'm not sure that we even know what they eat. Other than the fact that they need a large supply of microfauna/flora ?

Their diet is unknown, but it's assumed to be something that grows in the microscopic layer of gunk that covers solid surfaces. That includes protozoans, algae, sponges, bacteria, etc. That's the simplest explanation of why they generally only do well in large, established tanks where there is plenty of this film for them to graze on.

I would be more concerned that it hasn't moved one bit in two months, are you sure it's still alive?

Dave.

Linkia's dissolve if they die. You will know right away when it's dying. My linkia sits still for a few days before it moves again.

Yeah, but two months?? Mine is pretty much constantly on the move, never in a hurry, but two months would be a bit unusual I think.
